But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness". 2 Corinthians 12:9
We look at strength and weakness as though they're opposites and they are. However, it can take a lot of strength to be weak and weakness can bring forth strength. Most of us do everything we can to hide our weaknesses or we downplay them. But the Lord tells Paul that it is good he is weak, because Christ's power is made perfect through our weaknesses. It's during our times of weakness that we learn to lean on the strength that only God can give. The past year has been the most challenging and difficult years of my life, as it has been for many others. It's been during the hardest times when I've felt like I've had nothing left that God has reminded me that when my strength fails, His does not and never will.
Marybeth Eiler says, "With God, our weakness becomes a place for Him to provide us with the strength to endure." Do you see weaknesses, hardships, persecutions and adversity as opportunities to testify to Christ's strength in your life? There was a specific time over the past year when I was helpless to the events that were taking place in my life, I couldn't stop it. I couldn't change it. I had no say in it. I felt helpless and defeated. I remember telling the Lord that I would walk this situation out how ever He wanted me to. I surrendered it to Him and when I did, it gave Him the perfect platform to show who He is.
He is my strength, my provider, my song, my healer, my all in all. He never fails and He never lets go.
