Israel had been in battle when God told them to ”be still and know that I am GOD”(Ps.46:10).
Coming out of the year 2020 many of us know how it feels to be in battle. We’re weary and broken. Many are still grieving the loss of loved ones. Many are trying to pick up the pieces of a broken home. But in the midst of the pain and turmoil, God still beckons us to “ Be still and know”.
Be still and know that He is God and He will be exalted in the nations and the earth!
Be still and know that He will heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds. Ps.147:3
Be still and know that blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Be still and know that He has plans to prosper you and give you hope. Jer.29:11
Be still and know that He will fight for you. Ex.14 :14
Be still and know that He is mindful of you. Ps. 8:4
Be still and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Heb. 13:5, Deut. 31:6,8
Be still and know that nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:35
Be still and know that His love for us is great. John 15:13
Be still and know that He rejoices over us with singing.
Be still and know that He is an awesome and great King over all the earth! Ps. 47:2
The point is this: Our God is with us! Always has been, always will be! He truly is the God on the mountain and the God in the valley. He is the God in the fire and the God in the storm. He is our Great Redeemer and the Lifter of our heads.
So as we continue through the next few weeks with fasting and praying, I hope we can remember to just “ Be still and know”. Let our hearts and minds soak in the goodness of our Great God! Let us be open to the healing and restoration that we so desperately need and that only He can perform! I believe that our sacrifice of fasting and prayer will bring a great harvest!
To my church family and others I say be Blessed! God is still on the throne!
