Day 8- Complete Surrender

Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let it be done according to your word.” Luke 1:38

Total surrender...Mary didn’t know how it would happen, BUT the angel said it would. She didn’t understand all the details, BUT God did. She didn’t stop to think about what others thought or even about herself. She was like, “Okay, God said it, let it be done. He will work it all out.”

Utter, Complete surrender! Do we trust His word? His voice? His prompting? Know that when we step out He starts moving. Directing our paths to complete His will. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” He see the BIG picture. He sees whose life is touching whose and by simple obedience to His prompting will encourage, meet a need, or save or change a life/ decision. It’s like a pebble thrown into the water —the initial plop makes the water turn into a wave. Mary’s surrender (the initial plop of a pebble) set the wave in motion that has continued for over 2000 years touching countless lives.

So when you are prompted by that still small voice, do it without hesitation. For you only see the here and now, but God sees what it will become. Be a ripple that keeps on giving!
