Philippians 4:6-8 NASB
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
We live in a time that there is plenty to be anxious about. And yet here we are instructed to be "anxious in nothing". If someone told you that the sun was going to go down this evening and come back up tomorrow morning, would you believe them? Of course! Because we have proven those acts of nature to be constant. There is has never been a day that the sun didn’t rise and set. Likewise, there has never been a day that God hasn’t been on the throne, constant and completely faithful. The root of anxiety is the fear of the unknown. The reason we can be anxious in nothing is because we serve a God in heaven who is known and who knows us!
There are times that we feel as though no one sees or could understand what we are going through- But God does. He became a man and experienced the greatest pain imaginable, the greatest temptations imaginable, so that we would have an example set before us. And because He has experienced human pain, that means He understands everything that you are facing and more. He sees every little thing that you are concerned about and guards your heart with His peace.
Be encouraged today, that you are seen and known God Himself. He cares about the things you care about, He wants to hear the requests you bring to Him, no matter how big or small.
